Welcome
Covenant Baptist Church is a congregation with a rich heritage and a bold vision for the future! We thank you for taking the time to view our website. We hope you'll look over our pages - and come visit us at our historic church building in Acton, Maine. If you live near us, we invite you to come and worship our faithful and loving God with us at any time - and to learn with us about our relationship to Him and His world. Those of you who may be seeking a church home, a place in which you will be loved - and hear teaching from God's Word - are more than welcome to come and accept the warm fellowship of the saints at Covenant Baptist Church. If you want to talk about it first you can always contact me - by email (PastorCurt@metrocast.net) or by phone (207-477-8734).
It's a Family Thing
Here at CBC, we believe that the church is a family. We are "brothers" and "sisters" learning to get along with one another and the community around us. We'd like to include you in the family!
Whether you are a fulltime resident or a one weekend visitor, we invite you to come and join us for worship. We are a family-friendly congregation and welcome your entire family to join us.
We work at being a community of believers. We are working at fellowship and growing spiritually. We're all at different places in our spiritual walk, but we're all heading in the same direction. If you'd like to take part in this you are more than welcome to join in with us. We meet at 10 on Sunday mornings. Come and join us! We preach Christ and Him crucified!

Experience Growth in Grace in a Community of Caring Believers We care about people. We care about their spiritual well-being and their physical health. Join us for: - Christ-centered preaching
- Relevant Sunday School classes
- Bible studies
- Friendly community
- Youth activities
- Missions opportunities
Notice: This is a "no frills" church. We do not have a lot of programs. We sing hymns - from hymnals. We have no big screens. We do have music, but no big band. What we do is read and preach the Gospel. There is a lot of Bible reading in our services. We preach Christ and Him crucified. Oh, we still manage to have fun; we enjoy one another's company; and we welcome visitors warmly. It's just who we are.
Mission Statement
Our aim is to help each person grow in fervent love for God, for one another, and for those without Christ, both locally and globally. We proclaim the good news, that Jesus Christ came into this world to reconcile sinners to God through His death and resurrection. We emphasize heartfelt worship and practical Bible teaching to equip God's people for service.
